20 Something Girl – In New York City

Afraid of turning 25

April 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Your 25th year is the do or die year.

In the wise words of my one of my BFFs:

The 25th year totally dictates what path your life will take for the next 25 years because of the decisions you make and the path you choose.

But on the flip side if you get on “your grind” the world is your oyster.

There’s a really good Chinese proverb that goes: “No gem can be polished without friction.” The shinier a gem is, the more roughness it has endured.

So, the more you get roughed around during this key year, the finer tuned you will come out. Finer tuned in the sense that you will be in tune with your inner self, closer to true happiness, whatever that means to you specifically.
